The Tale of the ADHD Dinosaur

The video opens with a title screen for a game called ‘The Tale of the ADHD Dinosaur.’ Below the title is a pixelated cartoon dinosaur character. Below the character are the words, ‘PLAY.’ On the right side of the screen, are options to select the language, English, and Francais. A banner appears on the left-hand side of the screen, that reads ‘SPARTAKUS.’

The game then begins. A pixelated blue dinosaur moves around on a small landscape on the ground level. There is a seascape in the background. The dinosaur approaches a structure with a yellow dinosaur on top that is wearing a crown. A text bubble appears from the dinosaur with the text ‘E’ in the bubble. A text box appears that reads, ‘YOUR MISSION TODAY IS… FIND AN APPLE!’ The dinosaur follows the red dinosaur towards the apple which is within a small wooden crate. Another text box appears that reads, ‘THE KING WANTS AN APPLE. PLACE IT IN THIS BOX BY TALKING TO ME.’

The blue dinosaur jumps, and moves through a maze. The dinosaur then meets with the red dinosaur again and they discuss the lack of carrots. Another text box appears that reads ‘ANY LUCK FINDING THAT BANANA?’ After they converse a text bubble appears on the screen ‘E’. The blue dinosaur continues through the maze and then jumps over the bridge, and goes down and up through a jungle of trees, and mushrooms, and finds the apple. The blue dinosaur meets with a green dinosaur, and a text box appears that reads ‘WHY ARE YOU HERE? ARE YOU SLACKING OFF?’ The blue dinosaur jumps on the bridge again, and then a text box appears that reads ‘GET THAT FOOD BACK HOME!’ After more conversation the next text box appears ‘E’.

The blue dinosaur continues through the maze, and another text box appears ‘WHAT ON EARTH IS TAKING YOU SO LONG?’. The next text box appears that reads ‘LET ME CHECK YOUR FRUIT TO FIND NOTES’. As the video ends the blue dinosaur jumps up and says ‘I’M APPAL’. The blue dinosaur meets up with the yellow dinosaur and the text bubble appears ‘FINALLY!’ The next text box appears that reads ‘WHY DO YOU LOOK TIRED?’ A text box appears that reads, ‘YOU’VE DONE PRACTICALLY NOTHING.’ The text box then appears ‘THERE’S LIKE TEN MORE FRUITS TO COLLECT TODAY’.

The game ends with the screen going black and the words ‘THE END. YOU BEAT THE GAME. YOU GOT THE PINEAPPLE. YOU DID IT FOR YOUR KING AND ALL OF YOUR DINOSAUR FRIENDS. BUT NOBODY WAS IMPRESSED. THAT’S JUST HOW IT GOES FOR AN ADHD DINOSAUR. THANKS FOR PLAYING.
