Video Game Verbs

We’re looking at a playful, educational video about verbs, starting with bright teal background displaying white text that reads ‘A verb is a word that you do.’ With the bass pumping in the background, we switch to a high-speed car chase in a city, and bright orange letters flash on the screen noting verbs that we see in the game: ‘Accelerate,’ ‘Turn,’ and then the sentence, ‘A game has verbs that you play.’ We then see options for the user to ‘Choose’ from different car designs.

From here, we’re on a runway as an airplane races and then ‘Take Off’ into the air. Next we see another white phrase, in the same white font and bright teal background, that reads, ‘Some verbs have objects,’ followed by more of the city car chase where the verb ‘Pass an opponent’ is featured in the bright orange text.

The information continues, with ‘Games have obstacles’ appearing on the same background as before, but then the view changes to a first-person point of view in a tank game, traveling through a desert landscape, interspersed with the verbs ‘Lock’ and ‘Shoot Enemy,’ as the tank fires at its target.

The video asks, ‘What verbs do you see?’ over the original background as we transition to a cartoon avatar, on a bright beach, holding a fishing pole and casting their line out into the water.
