Un-Debate Reflection
Think about how your un-debate experience went using the Mirror, Microscope, Binoculars Reflection. This activity is designed to help you think about your experience from three angles: a personal reflection (the mirror), a detailed look (the microscope), and the big picture (the binoculars). It’s a great chance to explore what you did well, where you could improve, and how your work connects to the bigger picture.
Mirror Reflection (Personal)
The mirror reflection is your chance to look at yourself – your thoughts, behaviours and contributions. Think about:
- You, as an individual: What are you really good at? What are some things you’d like to improve on? How do your values shape your actions, and what goals are you working towards?
- You, as part of a team: How do you get along with others? How do you contribute to the group? What role did you play in helping the team reach its goals?
Microscope Reflection (Detailed Look)
Now, let’s zoom in on specific moments or interactions from the activity. Think about:
- Yourself: How did you approach the task? What worked well for you, and what could have been better?
- Your team: How did your communication or role impact the final result? How did your contributions shape the outcome?
Binoculars Reflection (Big Picture)
Finally, step back and think about the bigger picture. Consider:
- You, as an individual: What teamwork and collaboration skills did you use? How might these skills, or the issue you discussed, be relevant in real life?
- You, in the world: How does your topic connect to bigger social, political, or ethical issues? What impact might your work have on a larger scale?
Use the space below to record your reflection. Take your time and really think about each part! Finally, don’t forget to export your document as a Word file to save your answers once you’re finished.
