Creating the Digital Story

Once students have completed their interviews, have them write and record any additional narration needed to get their point across and select images that will be used to accompany the audio. Remind them of the different ways that images and audio can be combined that were covered in the Digital Storytelling unit.

If you have not already delivered the Remixing Media unit, pause to deliver the activity What is Legal and Ethical in Remixing? and have students access the student chapter Remix Tools: Getting Media.

Discuss with students what steps they can take to make sure the images they use in their Digital Stories are acquired and used ethically and legally.

Once students have completed their Digital Stories, assess them using the Assessment Rubric for Digital Stories.
